Praise, Painting, Remodels, and Vistors

LATEST UPDATE ON PRAISE

Praise was taken a CT scan on his head. It was realized that there is a growth from the nose that is pushing the eye outwards. He was taken to ENT doctor who confirmed that the problem was nasal (from the nose). The problem is called SINO-NASAL FIBRO-OSSEOUS LESION. The boy was referred to Kenyatta National Hospital in Nairobi. On Monday morning, we will be taking him to see the surgeon in Nairobi.

Thank you all for your continued prayers for Praise recovery. Let’s continue to Pray and trust God for the lovely boy’s quick recovery that the doctor will address the right problem and Praise will be whole with his eye completely healed.

PAINTING OF THE HOME GOING ON

We are glad to inform you that the re-painting of the home is going on. We intend to paint both homes, the container at the home and the gate. Will keep you posted on the developments. Thank you all that have contributed and participated in this project.

CONSTRUCTION OF THE URINAL FINALLY DONE

At the home there was a need of a urinal bearing in mind the population we have. When the government officials came to inspect the home, as is their tradition every year, they informed us that it was a requirement for us to have a urinal at the home. When Cindy and the team visited last summer, we informed them on the same and promised to facilitate the construction. We have good news, the Urinal is finally done. We are glad that when the government officials shall come this year, they will not be on our necks. We really appreciate those who contributed towards this project. WE SAY THANK YOU.

VISITORS AT THE HOME

Last weekend a student from the university who had a birthday decided to celebrate with the kids. She visited the home on 25th Jan with a couple of her friends and brought lots of snacks to the kids. They did the cake cutting and shared with everyone present. She really enjoyed especially the moment the kids sang birthday songs to her. Mark, a 4-year old boy was the soloist of the day who made it so lively. We wish her Long life.
